How to choose your baton

Twirling baton models: 7 mm, 9 mm, or 11 mm?

  • 7 mm batons are often preferred by children with slim fingers. Their lightness, which makes handling easier, is also appreciated by some twirlers.
  • 9 mm batons remain the most common diameter, and the choice of most teams.
  • Experienced athletes, the "solo practitioners," often choose an 11 mm baton, heavier for "rolls."

Choosing the right length

Measure from the armpit to the fingertips, along the inside of the arm, and add 5 centimetres. Take the closest length.

Tips: compatibility and replacement

A baton has three parts: the shaft, the tip (the small end) and the ball (the large end). It's delivered fully assembled, with the tips already fitted. Over time, the tips wear down and need replacing.

Compatibility

Every baton has its own tips. A baton's balance comes from the pairing of shaft and tips: fitting the wrong ones puts that balance at risk and changes how it feels in hand.

Replacement

Never remove both tips at the same time.

Change them one at a time: the new ball in place of the old ball, the new tip in place of the old tip. Remove both at once, and you risk mixing them up, and the baton's balance suffers.

  1. 1Remove the old ball, the large end, at one end only.
  2. 2 Immediately fit the new ball in its place.
  3. 3 Only then, do the same with the tip at the other end.
Shipping, returns and exchanges

Delivery times are 48 to 72 hours for standard items. For made-to-order or personalised products, please refer to the "production time" box.

Engraving and personalisation

An item with your name on it means something different: it’s the one that follows you to every competition, the one you keep for years.

First name, nickname, date, club name... make your twirling gear unique and irreplaceable. And on the practical side, no more mix-ups in the changing room or items left behind at the gym: they always find their way back to their owner.

Made in our workshop in Marseille, using professional equipment. A personalised item cannot be returned or exchanged: please check the spelling carefully!

Our story, 3 generations of experts and enthusiasts

Twirling Boutique is an independent French family business, expertise passed down from father to daughter(s), skill and service for customers who share our values: hard work, passion, humility, and transmission.

In the late 1950s, Pierre Bel, an international juggler, discovered twirling on a tour of the United States. He fell in love with it and brought it back home. His daughter Christine Bel became a great champion and then a pioneer of twirling in France and Europe, founding Twirling Boutique in 1976 with her father. Anne-Laure represents the third generation and joined the family business in 2021.
